Greek Rhapsody is a live performance journey into the rich instrumental sound world of Greece from the early 20th century. Repertoire inspired from rare recordings dating between 1905 and 1956, this carefully curated live performance captures a period before modern recording conventions, when regional styles, improvisation and dance rhythms were central to Greek musical life.The repertoire presented moves through urban and rural traditions alike - a vivid sonic document of Greece’s cultural history, presented with a deep historical context.Performing Greek Rhapsody will be Alex Petropoulos, Con Kalamaras and Paul Karalis.
